Dirt Medics LLC was founded in 2019 we provide general excavation & land management. Located in Central Maine we serve the entire State. Owned and operated by Jason McKinnon, a 6 year veteran, and career Firefighter/Paramedic. Jason operates the business administrative, sales, and daily operations of Dirt Medics, his experience runs Decades!

Dirt Medics operates a very unique business model, while our services may seem like standard offerings, the difference comes in several unique ways, to explain this I will provide you with a little background history.

Born in 1987, Jason's childhood included working on the family farm, then through the ranks within a large family owned construction company. Spending years operating on large commercial sites such as The Alfond Center for cancer care, Jason is no stranger to large job sites.  After the events of 9/11/2001 Jason started volunteering with his local fire department, setting into motion a lifelong passion within the Fire Service  But he didn't stop there, Jason enlisted within the Maine Army National Guard and served from 2007-2013. In 2010 after years of training, college courses, and persistent work, a life Long career began as a paramedic within the Fire Service.

Fire fighters have a unique life style, we live in a special world where communication is vital, time matters, and outcomes can be measured in life or death. One perk we enjoy is a very open schedule, often times working 24hr shifts on rotation. With this unique schedule most obtain a second or third job to keep busy and support their family. Often times that second or third job is within a first responder role. This can lead to injury, exhaustion, and burnout! Jason was determined to find away around that stress. While working in the medical field can be rewarding it can also be stressful, working in the dirt removes that stress for Jason! He spent years working for others, renting equipment and doing side work. Inspired by the success of his Mobile Shrink Wrapping business, Jason hit the road running. In 2019 he launched his earthwork business and the rest is history!
